Because of its unique drainage system and novel valve mechanism, Christoph Miethke GmbH & Co.KG is well regarded as an innovative organisation by neurosurgical experts worldwide.

The basis for the company’s success is its gravitation technology, which has been continuously improved and refined, allowing problems such as under-drainage to be overcome. The effect of the gravitational valves is dependent on the body position of the patient, varying in response to changes in posture.

Not only the shunt systems are built in an innovative way, but also the usage of titanium guarantees the highest precision and quality of the products. All of the Miethke valves are made of titanium. This material excels in biocompatibility, magnetic resonance imaging safety and the long durability.
