NPH-Workshop & Factory Tour: september 27th in 2010

At september 27th a NPH-workshop took place in the Aesculap Academy in Berlin. Afterwards the participants, 15 neurosurgeons from all over the world, accepted our invitation to visit our company here in potsdam.
The neurosurgeons gained intensive insight into our factory and our valves with their functionality. Thanks a lot all the guests and colleagues for that great event in such a relaxed ambiance, full of suspenseful discussions.

Hydrocephalus Forum 2010: from june 11. to june 13. in Zeuthen

From june 11. to june 13. this year´s hydrocephalus forum took place in Zeuthen. This six years old scientific hydrocephalus interchange more and more becomes generally known as an acknowledged annual scientific congress for specialists. This time there were especially many young neurosurgeons meeting under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. med. Ullrich Meier. 22 speakers and ca. 90 participants exchanged their knowledge about actual studies, ways of treatment and complications. Additional workshops get the neurosurgeons the possibility to discuss several case studies. We look forward to continue this discussion next year.

| Socker-Match against the Charité´s neurosurgeons |

| At may the 8th in 2010 the Charité´s neurosurgeons won the annual socker-match. With the excellent result of 5:1 they brought us to our knees. We congratulate the winners an we look forward to the revenge in the next year. |

Shunts & More 2009 in Potsdam: from oct. 31st. to nov. 1st. 2009

This year our Shunts & More Meeting was in the focus of proSA - our latest product innovation.
Product managers of  - our sales partner - came together from all over the world to take part on a product training round about the new line of proSA-products and to enjoy an successful exchange of experiences.
As usual ... it was also a funny, sportive and intensive Event.

| Review: Hydrocephalus Forum 2009 in Potsdam (near Berlin), Germany |

 and our company are about to organize the Hydrocephalus Forum in the 5th year already. Various information about hydrocephalus, new product development, endoscopy or shunt, scientific insights into pathophysiology and other interesting topics were discussed and worked out on june 12th to 14th, 2009 in Potsdam Germany. As for the previous events, the Hydrocephalus Forum 2009 represented an intensive specialist exchange of experiences. 100 participants und 16 speakers joined this particular scientific meeting. Lively discussions, interesting speaches, different workshops, designed specially for operator's needs, helped to create a successful meeting this year! |

| First implantation of proSA-valve in Asklepios Hospital in Hamburg - a revolution in shunt technology? |

| The first proSA-valve, a worldwide novelty in shunt technology, has been implanted successfully on decembre, 17th 2008 to a patient in Asklepios Hospital in Hamburg. The proSA is the first adjustable gravitational valve for the vertical body position that allows to adjust the opening pressure of the valve post-operatively. This valve technology helps to keep the intraventricular pressure of the patient in an optimal condition no matter of the patient's body position. A revolution indeed, since the proSA (programmable SHUNTASSISTANT) consists of a unique valve technology at the moment throughout the world. |

On december 8th, 2008, the patient was in focus at Christoph Miethke GmbH & Co. KG! We were awarded and chosen from 1500 competitors as a particular place in the 'Land of Ideas'. We opened our company to patients and anyone else interested in hydrocephalus and the shunt systems used to treat the condition. The visitors were enthusiastic to gain so much information on the products and the technology behind the hydrocephalus valves, especially the new valve proSA.

| Global Connect Award - Winner in the Category "Hidden Champion" |

On November 11th, 2008 the company received the Global Connect Award. This prize is awarded to companies with a sustainable international sales strategy. In the category "Hidden Champion" the company was chosen from three nominated organisations, and recognised for its successful, niche product range of hydrocephalus valves.The cooperation with the sales organisation of B.Braun Aesculap was mentioned as a considerable factor for the success of our company. Christoph Miethke attended the ceremony in Stuttgart, Germany.

| Tom had his 10th anniversary in Miethke facilities. Since than the company where his father is an employee is no longer an abstract place. Now he can imagine what kind of products Miethke is producing. |
