GAV ® Pressure setting

The GAV is available in six different pressure configurations. It is MRI-conditional and calibrated in accordance with strict quality control standards.

The required opening pressure of the GAV depends on the individual patient's age, mobility, height and the body shape:

Reading the pressure setting from an X-ray image

Every single pressure configuration is individually coded and can be identified on the GAV in an X-ray image post-operatively. The picture on the right shows the X-ray image of a GAV (10 / 40 cmH2O).
