Last Friday at the match of SV Babelsberg 03 against Berliner AK 07 the three partners SV Babelsberg 03, Christoph Miethke GmbH & Co. KG and New Potsdam Tolerance Edict e. V. announced their cooperation. During an interview between Katharina Dahme (SV Babelsberg 03), Jann Jakobs (New Potsdam Tolerance Edict e. V.) and Christoph Miethke, the three participants announced that SVB03 would become a member of New Potsdam Tolerance Edict e. V. In addition, it was planned that from now on the players would wear the logo of the association on their pants. Earlier this week the NOFV (North East German Football Association) prohibited the logo with reference to §25 number 8: "Advertising for political groups and with political statements is not approved."

Christoph Miethke's comment on the NOFV's cancellation:

"I am of the opinion that the imprint’s ban is a political statement, which I oppose. I will support the club (SV Babelsberg 03) and stand up for this getting corrected. It is completely insane and has nothing to do with our values in society."

He also commented further on his role as a sponsor:

"The role of the company is to stand up not only for its own interests, but for a society that inspires tolerant coexistence. You can retreat to your economic interests or you can get involved. It's really great for me to be able to sponsor Babelsberg because I'm a big football fan. To bring that together and to say we don't just play football, but it's about much more as an entrepreneur, as a club that promotes sports and takes on a social responsibility or as a tolerance association, that we are seen by the people. As people who have a desire for each other, for togetherness and understanding for each other. That was a very big part of my motivation to become a sponsor here."

Already a few days earlier, the three parties took a clear stand against the decision of the NOFV:
